I confessed my sin to you; I did not cover my error. . . . And you pardoned the error of my sins.—Ps. 32:5.

We show that we appreciate Jehovah’s forgiveness when we pray for it, accept discipline, and work hard to avoid repeating our mistakes. When we take these steps, we will regain our inner peace. How encouraging it is to know that “Jehovah is close to the brokenhearted; he saves those who are crushed in spirit”! (Ps. 34:18) As these last days come to a close, the causes of anxiety are likely to increase. When you have anxious thoughts, do not delay in seeking Jehovah’s help. Study the Bible diligently. Learn from the examples set by Hannah, the apostle Paul, and King David. Ask your heavenly Father to help you identify the cause of your anxiety. (Ps. 139:23) Let him carry your burdens, especially those over which you have little or no control. If you do, you can be like the psalmist who sang to Jehovah: “When anxieties overwhelmed me, you comforted and soothed me.”—Ps. 94:19. w20.0224 ¶17; 25 ¶20-21

You can't walk with God while holding hands with the Devil.

I feel that often those anxieties over which we have no control are often the hardest to bare, this is certainly when we need Jehovah the most….

Especially in the middle of the night when we cannot sleep because of unwanted thoughts and anxiety/stress in our minds… it’s only by asking Jehovah to quiet these thoughts and anxieties that we can cope…. Both now and on into the future

Not mine but thought this fit well with today's text:

USE THE PARACHUTE

When someone commits a serious sin is like parachuting from an airplane. During the free fall, you cannot go back to the plane; the only possible direction is down. The skydiver only has two choices: to open the parachute or crash. He only has a few minutes to decide! Likewise, when someone falls into a sinful state is like a spiritual free fall, he can’t go back, he can’t change what happened. He needs to open up his heart and confess, otherwise he will crash spiritually. Confessing, repenting and seeking Jehovah’s help is the parachute needed to avoid the crash. However, the sinner needs to understand that the window of opportunity to use the parachute will not stay open forever.

USE THE PARACHUTE

How we long for Jehovah's smile of approval and "well done".  Each day we fight to do what is right. Some anxiety is caused by our own selves when we err or sin because we are imperfect. Such anxiety can plague us as we fight day after day to reach for Jehovah's high standards. But because we are imperfect we will "miss the mark" . This doesn't mean we are failures and cast away from Jehovah.  He knows we are dust. Jehovah sees the efforts we make to please him. Turn to Jehovah in prayer each day like your most trusted confidential friend. He will help you carry your anxious thoughts and help you have a measure of inner peace.

The one showing favor to the lowly is lending to Jehovah
